Biography

Really Old Airplanes is a fine example of confident artistry. Joining talents in 2010, the band is comprised of Evan Benzinger, Kory Mathis, and Keagan Smith, all of which provide essential instrumentation including use of the ukulele, guitar, melodica, keyboards, drums, drum machines and bells. Really Old Airplanes has opened for well-known acts including Local Natives, Good Old War, and Jack’s Mannequin. Their first release, The Mischevist EP is a cleverly crafted blend of upbeat tracks and serious songwriting. Shortly after teaming with Palaver Records, the band released their first full length album, Forgotten Sadly, and Broken Ends, on April 2nd, 2011. Following a successful two-month long nationwide tour, Really Old Airplanes relocated to Seattle, Washington where they are currently working on new full length album.
