Deborah Page, Vocals, 12 String Guitar, Electric Guitar
Paul Uhl, Lead Guitar, Keyboard, Everything Else

Biography

Deborah Page is a breath of fresh air in today's music scene. Just like an emotion, the music is difficult to describe and defies categorization. It is best described as a combination of melodic rock, funk, folk, and beats with haunting electric guitar and vocals that will find a place deep inside of you and stay there. The band is made up of equal parts Deborah Page and Paul Uhl. Deborah has played guitar since the age of seven. At the age of twelve she moved to Juarez, Mexico where her musical ability flourished. It wasn't until 2005 when she met band mate Paul Uhl, that the sound of Deborah Page was born. Paul Uhl has been a guitar player and music producer since the age of 18. In late November 2007 an album with fifteen original songs was released by the duo. On December 31st, 2007, at First Night, the New Year's Eve celebration for downtown Tacoma, they played their first two shows. The months that followed have been increasingly successful for a Page found herself on the cover of City Arts Magazine. A coveted spot amongst the who's who of Tacoma. They began the year playing four or five shows a month and ended the summer of 2008 with ten shows in the month of August. They also ended the summer selling their 750th album! Not bad considering the album has only been out for nine months! Their influences are as wide ranging as their own music style. Bands such as VAST, Sarah McLachlan, Pink Floyd, Tori Amos, James, Pearl Jam, David Bowie, Tears For Fears, The Cure, Love and Rockets, Marjorie Fair, and U2, only cap a long list of influences. Deborah and Paul pull a little bit from each of these bands and mix that with the experiences, pain, and joy of life and out of that comes the music that is Deborah Page.

I heard your interview on the Northwest Convergence Zone and the song you sang at the end. Wow! You guys are great ! I like the fact that you look and sound different then most of the bands out there right now, Your vocals are so smooth and with the guitar over it ,great! You really are a local treasure.. I am sure we will be hearing your songs on the radio soon and see your name everywhere.. You guys are great. A huge asset to Tacoma, Like Nirvana and Pearl Jam are to Seattle, Deborah Page will be to Tacoma. At least I think so! You guys ROCK!

I just saw you guys play a show at Happy Days Casino and I was simply blown away. Stellar performance with the theatrics and lighting effects... The music was dead on. A complete breath of fresh air in the music scene! What a great singer! The music is touching and moving.

Keep up the great work and I really hope to see you two again soon! When is your next show?

Heard through the grapevine that you are the Headliners for Breastfest 2. It is nice to see that bands come out and play shows for free to help other people out. I know how much it takes to load your gear in and out and play and then not get a dime.. People take music and musicians for granted.... Kudos to you and all the others who still do these benefits and have the balls to continue to do so. !

Caught Deborah Page's AWESOME show on New Years Eve. This is one of the most under apperciated bands in Tacoma.. They are TRULY unique and you can actually understand the lyrics.. wow what a concept. Why is there not more press about her and her band? They F'n rock. I'm just sayin. Amanda

EASILY the most under-rated band in Tacoma if not the NW.

Saw these guys at Hidden River and couldn't believe my eyes. It was like watching a massive touring production unfold before my eyes.

Unbelievable.

Looking forward to their upcoming album.
