The Seattle Supersonics might be gone, but the PNW's tremendous support of NBA basketball has not changed, as a packed house in Portland throughout the year and into the playoffs last season have shown.

Even if it's a rainy or stormy day, the Trail Blazers have military members and their families covered with an exciting (and dry) sports-filled special offer just for them.

The team offers anyone with previous military involvement including all veterans, active-duty, reservists and their friends and families with an exclusive savings for all 2019/2020 regular season home games as well as Rose Quarter Family Shows.

With more than 40 home game opportunities, the Moda Center is just a few hours' drive away (might even be closer than Seattle if you factor in everyone's favorite highway, I-5) and the perfect family opportunity to enjoy professional sports at a cheaper price, in a drier (and warmer) seat than one might be used to in Seattle.

The Trail Blazers are looking for military members and their families to take advantage of the numerous ongoing military promotions geared towards showing appreciation to those that have served.

Not a fan of basketball but still looking for activities in the Portland area for the entire family? No worries, along with the Moda Center offering discounted tickets for every home game during their season, the Moda Center also offers a Rose Quarter Military Discount for various family shows like Disney on Ice, WWE events, Sesame Street Live, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and more.

The link for the discounted Military Ticket Offer is rosequarter.com/military/ and the promo codes needed to access the discounts are: RQMILITARY - for any Rose Quarter Family Shows; and MILITARY - for any Portland Trail Blazers games.

Every year, the Trail Blazers hold a Military Appreciation Night around Veterans Day in November and offer several additional opportunities for the military and their families during these games.

This year's Military Appreciation Night will take place Nov. 10 when the Blazers take on the Atlanta Hawks at 6 p.m.

Those who purchase tickets at the military rate for Military Appreciation Night will be invited to watch the players warm up from the 100 level as well as get 10 percent off regularly priced merchandise to the Rip City Clothing Co. by showing military identification upon purchase.

Whether looking for an affordable opportunity to bring your entire brigade or battalion out, or just looking for a close road trip with friends to catch a basketball game at a discounted price, or maybe you just want to take the family out for an exciting opportunity without breaking the bank ... the Blazers and Moda Center have you covered.

The Trail Blazers made a nice run in last year's playoffs and return a strong team this year featuring Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum and newcomer Hassan Whiteside. Roaming the sideline is one-time Supersonic assistant coach Terry Stotts, who has led Portland since 2012.
