While there are many perks to being stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, one of the best is the overwhelming support and appreciation from local businesses. They not only enjoy working with servicemembers and their families, but make the effort to say "thank you" and show their appreciation for their sacrifices.

This Saturday, July 13, Northwest Military and Charlie's Safari will produce the annual JBLM Military Family Bouncefest, sponsored by USAA, US Family Health, Norwich University, and Strength at Home. The event will be held at Charlie's Safari in Lacey from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., with free admission for all military and their families. Families can spend the whole day enjoying the complete indoor safari-themed family fun center. Be sure to bring socks, as they are mandatory on all bounce houses and climbing structures. Free activities will include the Pride Rock Bounces for all ages, the AAA indoor play structure also for all ages, prize wheels, characters such as Wonder Woman and Spider-Man, face painting, a prize wheel and more! There will also be an outdoor water slide, so be sure to bring appropriate attire. For an additional charge, families can also enjoy the arcade room, laser tag, and the Watering Hole Restaurant. There will also be many local businesses onsite to show their appreciation, as well as provide information and answer questions. If your family is new to the area, this is a great event to attend if you are looking for some local resources.

Take the family down to Charlie's Safari this Saturday for a day of climbing, jumping, laughing, and sliding. You won't want to miss it. Be sure to RSVP at northwestmilitary.com.
