The focus of many familial holiday traditions revolve around a tree; decorating, gift-giving and storytelling bring people together and serve as the perfect backdrop to memory making during this wondrous time of year. Before stockings are hung and sparkling lights strung, finding the perfect tree is paramount for creating the ultimate seasonal moments. Here to help with this magical mission is Local Boys' General Manager Trevor Jones.

Operating stands out of Puyallup, Gig Harbor, Tacoma, Lakewood and Federal Way, Local Boys is a father-son operated produce business that boasts offering the best in seasonal produce that is harvested from the family's very own farms. Robert (father) and Trevor (son) Jones pride themselves not only on their selection of fruits and produce, but also on their line of homemade products: tortilla chips, salsas, preserves, syrups and honey.

"We strive for the best experience and product available," declares Trevor Jones. "Robert Jones started this company and has been in the industry for over 50 years, selling quality product that makes people come back. We work hard to keep the same quality Dad has had, and love continuing to grow the business and be a part of the Christmas season for many families."

During the holiday season, Local Boys is overrun with a selection of high-quality Christmas trees and wreaths, transforming their outdoor stands into wonderland-like havens for tree amateurs and enthusiasts alike. "We carry seven different types of Christmas trees at all five locations along with wreaths, extra thick cedar garland, tree stands and center pieces," relayed Jones. "Part of what makes us unique is that we sell flocked trees and wreaths, and also do custom orders."

Curious about tree-shopping methodology? "No matter where you go get a tree, make sure you are buying fresh by grabbing a branch and running the needles through your hand to make sure you don't pull a bunch of needles off," advises Jones. "Unlike other places, we cut trees weekly to make sure you are getting the freshest trees possible."

It's not just the holiday-inspired botany that makes Local Boys worth a visit during this time of year. The Gig Harbor location showcases an impressive meat and seafood selection, as well as its own Tap Room, where patrons can sample from one of 40 beers on tap. In addition to having all Christmas dinner needs in one place, the Local Boys atmosphere and commitment to providing exemplary customer service fuels the good vibes the holiday season is known and cherished for.

"We are a family owned and operated company that has been in business for over 50 years," Jones explained. "We are a Christian family that believe in the meaning of Christmas and love being able to be a part of thousands of families around Pierce and King County for the Christmas season. We appreciate and thank all of our customers for shopping with us and wish everyone a very merry Christmas! "
