The mission of the US Family Health Plan (USFHP) is to not only provide quality health care for uniformed service family members, retirees and their families, but to also ensure that they are satisfied with the service they receive.

For more than eight decades, USFHP has been proud to serve active-duty family members, retirees and their dependents, and Reserve/Guard members on active-duty orders who are under the age of 65.

To further its mission of providing sterling service to its customers, USFHP also offers health and wellness discounts for non-TRICARE covered services.

Hammond went on to say that by providing our customers with access to health and wellness programs, they can proactively participate in their own good health.

USFHP offers discounts through LifeBalance, GlobalFit, Whole Health Living Choices, and Eye Med. Each of these programs offers its own specific discounts.

LIFE BALANCE

A wellness program, it is designed to help members find well-being by taking part in healthy activities. USFHP members can save at thousands of companies by using the LifeBalance Vendor Network, which provides a broad range of opportunities - from recreation and culture to wellness and travel.

GLOBALFIT

With its focus on making simple lifestyle changes that can reduce stress and control risk factors, GlobalFit provides an affordable range of healthy living options.

USFHP members receive a reduced price on NutriSystem, customized, one-on-one support programs that help members quit smoking, lose weight, reduce stress or achieve any other healthy living goal.

And finally, GlobalFit provides USFHP members with exclusive discounts on at-home fitness equipment from Smooth Fitness and videos from Beachbody.

WHOLE HEALTH LIVING CHOICES

Complementary and alternative medicine, or CAM, includes practices and products not seen a part of conventional medicine. Examples of these are chiropractors, naturopathic physicians, acupuncturists, Tai Chi instructors, massage therapists, pain management practitioners, nutritionists and herbal consultants, yoga instructors, meditation practitioners and homeopathic practitioners.

USFHP members can typically receive a 10 to 30 percent discount on CAM health and wellness services.

EYEMED

USFHP members can save up to 35 percent off the retail price of eyeglasses as well as 15 percent off the retail price of conventional contact lenses. These discounts on eyeglasses and frames are available at Sears, LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Target Optical and Independent practitioners.
