Free salute to military, Princess and Superhero Tea

By Ranger Staff on January 22, 2022

Join us for a free Princess and Superhero Tea, presented by StationedAT JBLM and sponsored by Grand Canyon University, to honor military families and their sacrifice. The party will take place on Jan. 29 at Capital Christian Center in Lacey from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m

Juice and cookies will be served while princesses sing and mingle with attendees. Superheroes will also be maneuvering around on site and interacting with party guests. Both princesses and superheroes will be available for photos, and a designated photo booth sponsored by Uniquee Booths will be on site for families to create memories.

We encourage all guests, young and old, to come in costume and be entered into the costume contest. Winner of the contest will receive a family pass to the Children's Museum.

There will be three designated tea times for families to attend. The first one will take place at 11 a.m. followed by noon and 1 p.m. All families wishing to attend a particular tea time should RSVP at the link provided below.

We encourage guests to come before their tea time or stay after to participate in more kid-friendly activities. Balloon clowns will be onsite twisting up some fun along with face painters painting magic.

A free hot cocoa bar sponsored by Veterans Lending will help keep guests warm and Manic Meatballs will be serving up FREE mini meals of delicious meatballs while supplies last.

Families will also have the opportunity to watch three different 30-minute Polynesian shows put on by the Asia Pacific Cultural Center.

"A number of local businesses are joining the day, too, bringing fun giveaways and prizes for local military kids," said Ken Swarner, publisher of The Ranger and NW Airlifter newspapers.  "We all are passionate about showing local military kids that the community understands their hardships - we want to say thank you by giving them some interesting things to do at no charge whatsoever."
