As the rain pounds the pavement and social distancing and restrictions remain in place, you may be left wondering what to do with your family this winter. Don't let cabin fever sink in. Lacey Parks and Recreation has several activities that can be just what you and your family need this winter.

For the first activity, you will need to wait for a break in the rain or if you're a seasoned Washingtonian, grab your rain jacket and head out anyway. You will be headed to several of Lacey's Parks to discover snowmen that are having a little fun in the parks. Each of the parks has their own game to solve and once solved, participants should email their answers to snowman@ci.lacey.wa.us to be entered in a drawing to win prizes! Participating parks include the following:

  • Lacey Depot, a new park located at 5555 Pacific Ave. SE, please park across Lebanon St.
  • Woodland Creek Community Park
  • Regional Athletic Complex (RAC)
  • Meridian Neighborhood Park
  • Thornbury Park
  • William Bush Park

Game ends on Jan. 31, so hurry up and get out and play! Full rules and details can be found here https://bit.ly/3nOB1OW
