Now that we are full on into the holiday season, we have put together a list of holiday events in the South Sound regions. Enjoy.

Through Jan. 15

A local tradition and favorite, this year join in on the fun at this local outdoor skating rink. Be sure to dress extra warm!

Fantasy Lights, 5:30- 9 p.m., $15-$45, discounts available.

Experience the largest holiday drive through display in the Northwest. Enjoy over 300 elaborate displays with thousands of twinkly lights, while listening to special holiday music prepared by AM 1700.

Zoolights at Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, 4:30-10 p.m., $14-18, ages 2 and younger free, military discounts available.

This family favorite event features over 800,000 colorful LED lights bringing the area to life each night. The lights bring whimsical animal scenes to life and will provide fun for all. Parking is free.

Harlequin Productions presents Artistic Director Aaron Lamb's adaptation of Charles Dickens's timeless story of transformation, absolution, and grace, updated with new chills and thrills for 2023.

Christmas at the Mansion Opening Night, 4:30-7 p.m., $10-$15.

The beautiful Ezra Meeker Mansion is decorated in authentic Victorian Christmas Style, in an effort to further preserve and protect the historical aspects of the Puyallup Valley. Also includes tours, hayrides, scavenger hunt and more.

It's time to ho ho ho with Seattle Men's Chorus. Seattle's most joyful holiday tradition is a fun-filled celebration of seasonal favorites along with the Pacific Northwest's gayest sing-along.

This holiday season, bring the whole family to see this classic tale brought to life! At approximately 55 minutes and presented without intermission, it's perfect for the little ones - recommended for ages five and older. Based on the story by Margery Williams, and adapted for the stage by Thomas Olson, the show features a cast and crew with both adult and youth artists.

The Tacoma Little Theater presents this holiday classic that soars off the screen in this musical adaptation of the beloved television special. Filled with holiday hits like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "A Holly Jolly Christmas," Rudolph the Red-Nosed ReindeerTM features all of your favorite characters including Santa and Mrs. Claus, Hermey the Elf, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius and, of course, Rudolph. It's an adventure that teaches us that what makes you different can be what makes you special.

Your invited to this December for Life Center's brand-new Christmas Production, A Merry Poppins Christmas! In all eight performances, we will see how Merry brings the light of Jesus to a family at Christmastime. Bring your friends and family to enjoy this 90-minute performance with no intermission. Community event includes vendors, food trucks, live music, performers, family activities, a selfie photo booth with Santa, workshops, games, art installations and more!

Dec. 9

Lakewood Holiday Parade of Lights and Tree Lighting, 4 p.m., Free

Starting at 4 p.m. at City Hall, there will be food trucks, carolers, circus activities hosted by Vuelta La Luna and more.

At 4:30 p.m. intricately decorated floats illuminated by lights, and walkers handing out treats will parade from Park Lodge Elementary School down Gravelly Lake Drive to Main Street into Lakewood Towne Center. People are encouraged to line the parade route to cheer on their friends and neighbors.

Then, at approximately 5:30 p.m., as the last parade float makes its way to City Hall, the Lakewood City Council will ask the crowd to help with the annual countdown to the lighting of the city Christmas tree.

The theme of this year's show is Silk Road Merchants Meet Medieval England. Expect music, stories, dancing, singing, celebration... Revels! Military discounts available.

Wonder: Winter Flower Show presented by Amazon, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., FREE.

The conservatory highlights the beauty of the seasons with four distinctive displays each year. As each show is planned, a theme is chosen that reminds us to breathe in magical moments when we come across them, and to remind ourselves to appreciate the joy of nature. Wonder: Winter Flower Show sparkles with 10 different poinsettias, vibrant tropical foliage and whimsical touches throughout our historical conservatory.
