With a nod to Tacoma Beer Week happening Aug. 11-20, Tacoma Arts Live's newest summer festival, Sound & Sky, celebrates the 10th Annual Brew Five Three: Tacoma's Beer & Music Festival on Saturday, Aug. 12, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Chambers Creek Regional Park in University Place, situated next to Chambers Bay Golf Course. This event is  21+ and a valid ID is required for entry. 

The 10th anniversary of Brew Five Three continues the tradition of featuring Northwest breweries with dozens of regional brewers offering beer, cider and mead tastings. Attendees will be able to sip brews and enjoy bites from over forty Northwest breweries and vendors including 7 Seas Brewing Co., Monkless Brewing, McMenamins, Stoup Brewing, Silver City Brewing, Task Force Brewing and so many more!

Live entertainment is scheduled to include a live edition of the Grit & Grain Podcast (2 p.m.), Amelia Day & The Cloves (3:20 p.m.), Café Tinto (4:25 p.m.), Kingpin X (5:30 p.m.) and Prom Date Mixtape (6:35 p.m.).

Local food vendors schedule to appear include Arnold's Happy Days Food Truck, Bajan Station, Brew Dog, LOPEZ Cocinita LAB and POP! Kettle Corn Company.

This year's Brew Five Three will take place in the central meadow area of Chambers Creek Regional Park next to Chambers Bay Golf Course. The gorgeous, open-air park with stunning views of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains will only add to the overall event experience. Bonus: Brew Five Three is dog friendly!

Tickets for Brew Five Three are on sale now. Full admission tickets include a limited-edition tasting glass and eight tasting tokens. Each token can be exchanged for a four-ounce tasting pour. Tickets are priced at $60. 

Parking is free. And carpooling, rideshare services and the practice of designated driving are recommended. Designated driver tickets are $20. Guests are encouraged to bring an empty, non-glass, refillable water bottle, as free drinking water will be provided.

Brew Five Three is part of Sound & Sky at Chambers Creek Regional Park, a three-day celebration of summer featuring live music from Firefall and Pure Prairie League (Aug. 11), Smash Mouth and Spin Doctors (Aug. 13). Sound & Sky weekend passes are on sale now: a two-day pass is $99, and a three-day pass is $150. Military discounts available.

This entire weekend is a not to be missed event and no better way to end the summer than with music, brews, food, views and so much more!
