Sometimes you just need a cookie. We're not talking about a packaged cookie you can buy at a local supermarket, we're talking about a homemade fresh-baked cookie to just sink your teeth in and make everything feel right again. So, take a photo, clip this out, or whatever you have to do to remember the information below the next time that "sometime" feeling washes over you.

It's no secret that over the past year or so Crumbl Cookie shops have popped up everywhere nationwide. And now, with a relatively new location in the Lakewood Towne Center, we too have been blessed with access to those adorable pink boxes full of yumminess. While they do have their basic chocolate chip cookies - which are delicious - the more decadent flavors is what draws in the crowds. A rotating menu means each visit will be full of surprises. Rotating flavors can include, Orange Creamsicle, Snickerdoodle Cupcake, Boston Cream, Lemon Blackberry, Turtle, Buttermilk Pancake and more. Each cookie costs around $4, which may seem spendy for a cookie, but these can easily feed two and they do have slightly cheaper prices for larger order sizes.

CRUMBL COOKIES, open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday-Thursday; 8 a.m. to midnight, Friday-Saturday; closed Sunday; 5605 Lakewood Towne Center Blvd. SW, Suite G, Lakewood, https://crumblcookies.com/walakewood.

Another local place to grab a big cookie from is Delish Bakery in Steilacoom. These giant cookies come in a variety of flavors including Chocolate chip, Dulce de leche, Monster cookies, Salted peanut butter and Sugar. Plus they're the type of cookie that you can eat half on the spot, and save the other half for later - although we will admit it's tough to save any.

DELISH BAKERY, open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday-Saturday; closed Sunday-Tuesday; 1602 Lafayette St., Steilacoom, https://delish-bakery.com/.

A cookie article could not be written without highlighting the decadent chocolate chip cookie available at Metropolitan Market. While the closest market is a bit far from JBLM, located in the Proctor District in Tacoma, trust us when we say it's worth the drive, at least once. But we have a feeling you will be back more. This thick chocolate chip cookie can be found in their bakery section and oozes with chocolate and walnuts in every bite. This is not a cookie you walk for, you absolutely run for it.

METROPOLITAN MARKET, open daily 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., 2420 N Proctor St., Tacoma.

Let's be honest, we love cookies, but sometimes the best part is the cookie dough that we shamelessly lick off the side of the bowl and ignore warnings that it's unsafe. Well, now a shop has arrived in Tacoma that has cookie dough that is safe to eat by the bowl. Cookie Dough Bliss & Creameryhas a wide range of rotating cookie dough flavors that include, Chocolate Chip, Cake Batter, Brownie Batter, Andes Mint, Red Velvet Cream Cheese Swirl, Samoa Cookie and multiple other flavor options. So if you want to skip the baked part and jump right in, this is the cookie shop for you.

COOKIE DOUGH BLISS & CREAMERY, open daily noon to 9 p.m., 634 N First St., Tacoma, https://www.cookiedobliss.com/tacoma.
