HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES

Revel in tradition with Ballet Northwest's The Nutcracker returning to the Washington Center for the 35th year. Join Clara and the Nutcracker Prince for the epic battle between mice and soldiers, their journey through the Kingdom of the Snow and as they celebrate with the Sugarplum Fairy in the Land of the Sweets. The popular pop-up rink in downtown Olympia, Oly on Ice is back for a third year, offering affordable, family-friendly ice skating daily through Monday, Jan. 17, 2022. Tickets can be purchased in advance here, https://bit.ly/3FHoupZ.

Pick out a Christmas tree at Hunter Family Farm - located at 7401 Yelm Hwy SE in Olympia. The Hunter family have been Christmas tree growers since 1948 and provide a fantastic selection of precut and u-cut trees available through Thursday, Dec. 23 (weekdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., weekends 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Schilter Family Farm - located at 41 Nisqually Cut Off Rd SE in Olympia - is another great spot for Christmas tree shopping in the area.

HOLIDAY SHOPPING

Washington's second-largest farmers market, Olympia Farmers Market - located at 700 Capitol Way N - is open for the holiday season every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 19. Find local produce to complete holiday meals, artisanal goods, handcrafted gifts, seasonal wreaths and much more.

Luxuriate with the lavender products at  Evergreen Valley Lavender Farm. Visit their gift shop for fun, eclectic presents and delights including seasonal artisanal wares, farm-direct essential oils and more. Located at 9733 Evergreen Valley Rd SE, Olympia.

 ACCOMMODATIONS

From restored historic buildings to cottages in the forest, the B&Bs of Thurston County offer warm and cozy accommodations for a holiday getaway.
