The Triple Door in downtown Seattle is heralded as one of the area's finest venues to dine and enjoy quality live music and performance events.

The Triple Door offers an eclectic menu of Asian dishes spiked with European fare served in a soothing yet glamorous environment. Asian influenced dishes lean to European; diners relish menu items like traditional pot stickers made by hand, sashimi grade ahi tuna bruschetta, curries and noodles plates, lemon grass flank steaks, and cognac and Sichuan peppercorn lamb chops. Exotic cocktails are also offered, as well as small batch beers, sake and Northwest wines.

To attend a live show at a supper club like The Triple Door is to be swept away by flickering candlelight, jewel tones, non-intrusive service and delightful entertainment from the stage and sound system. A tiered floor layout and angled arrangement allows all tables to face the stage with the intent of providing patrons an intimate experience with the performers.

Scheduled for March 2, imagine bottling a circus, opera, comedy show, burlesque and rock band. Now shake it up and pour over hilarious skits with sassy tone, Eastern European exotica, wild dances, Klezmer, gypsy brass and Turkish music.

What you end up with is Vagabond Opera, Portland's Bohemian gypsy pop cabaret band. The Vagabond Opera rolls into the Emerald City to celebrate the release the group's fourth full-length album, Sing for your LivesI, with two live performances. Adding to the wildly visual evening will be belly dance and fire art performances by special guests Leslie Rosen and Kimberley Brown of Pyrosutra Incendiary Dance.

Vagabond Opera won an "Airship Award" for best aural performance at Steamcon III in Seattle last fall.

"We're excited to come back to the Triple Door," says Skip vonKuske, classically trained cello virtuoso for the group.
