Finding the perfect place to host your unit’s holiday events can be a bit of a challenge.  Location, price and size are all things to take into consideration and sometimes it can be overwhelming.  Below are a few options available that will hopefully make the decision a little easier.

• The American Lake Community Club is located on Ft. Lewis and offers a great view of the lake for fantastic picture opportunities. The cost varies depending on the day that your unit’s party will be held. If it is being held Monday through Sunday, the fee is $400.00 with an 18% service fee, whereas if the event is being held on a Sunday, the service fee is raised to 43%. Also, if your unit’s cost for catering is more than $800.00, the American Lake Community Club will waive the $400.00 fee.  There is a $300.00 deposit due two weeks prior to the event. • Lakewold Gardens in Lakewood is perfect for smaller parties of 80 people or less. For $450.00 your party can be held in the Wagner House for three hours ($100.00 for each additional hour), with access to the grounds as well. There is a $100.00 deposit and you can reserve a date by calling (253) 584-4106.

• In Steilacoom, your units party of 150 people or less can be held at the Town Hall for $100.00 an hour and a deposit of $250.00 is required, as well as a $90.00 cleaning fee and all tables and chairs are supplied.  To reserve a date, call (253) 581-1076.

• Also available in Steilacoom, is the Community Center. For parties up to 300 people the cost will be $125.00 an hour along with a cleaning fee of $120.00 and a deposit of $250.00. The Community Center also supplies all tables and chairs as well as a full kitchen available for use.  To reserve a date, call (253) 581-1076.

• The Liberty Inn located in DuPont, is available for $350.00 for four hours, plus a service fee of 18%. Tables and chairs are included.  To reserve a date, call (253) 912-8777.

• If your unit is looking for a more extravagant holiday party, The Liberty Theater in Puyallup is the perfect place.  For 150 people, the average cost to host your units party would be $7500.00, but this does include the room rental, food, linens, centerpieces, and slide show presentations if your unit has one.  They will also supply a DJ and adult beverage bar for an additional cost.
