Sunday, May 5: "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom"

Pantages Theater

By Ron Swarner on April 30, 2013

"We'll stay here while Jim goes in for a closer look, ..." Marlin Perkins would tell the Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom 1960s-70s TV audiences from the comfort of his Jeep. Sure enough, co-host Jim Fowler would have to go wrestle with a wild lion or boar while Perkins sipped tea. The audience would scream so loud at Jim not to do it that their Banquet Salisbury Steak TV Dinner would slide of their TV trays. Good times, expect maybe for Jim. A modern day Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom sneaks into Tacoma Sunday with wildlife expert and environmental conservationist Peter Gros sharing his exciting animal world, travel experiences and timeless tales from the comfort of the Pantages Theater.

MUTUAL OF OMAHA'S WILD KINGDOM, 3 p.m. Pantages Theater, 901 Broadway, Tacoma, $24-$34, 253.591.5894
