After several months of silence Broken Water has emerged. This serves as a relief to those concerned about the state of the band following the groups critically acclaimed LP, Tempest. After a period of canceling a number of shows in July, including its own record release party, the band emerged in August to play a few one-off shows. But rumors persisted that those shows may be the last; at least in its current form, as word spread that bassist, and sometimes drummer, Abigail Ingram may have exited the band. The band has been very private in its personal details, but some information is emerging Ingram's exit may have been more than a rumor. Broken Water has announced it will be performing with HPP guitarist Michael Gorka on bass for a show at Olympia'sDumpster Values Dec. 6. Also performing that night is Ni-Hao from Japan, Vex featuring HPP bassist Aaron Larsen, and a new super-group of sorts featuring Ingram and Kanako Wynkoop from Broken Water and the Need's Rachel Carns.
