As a musician, is there anything worse than having your gear ripped off? Well, aside from having your best friend sleep with your girl while you're on the road, probably not. Talk about feeling violated. Just the thought of somebody else fondling your cherished Zildjian 14in K Session Dark Hi-hat Cymbal Top - few things are as maddening. Actually, the Weekly Volcano can think of something worse. How about having 29 pieces of equipment stolen, catching the dude because the dumbass bragged around town, discovering most of the equipment was sold and the rest turned over as state's evidence.

Yea, that's bad. And that's exactly what happened in October after said dumbass busted into the band practice space of the Nightgowns and the Wheelies making off with $20,000 worth of guitars, keyboards, pedals, and other equipment.

The Top of Tacoma Bar and Café will host a Pray For Snow Party Friday night to raise money for the Wheelies so the band may purchase equipment and finish its first full-length record, which will be released on Tacoma-based Swoon Records. Musician Luke Larsen, a bartender at the Top, has psychedelic reggae band Mighty High booked for the night, which means an awesome dance party could break out. We're sure bonus points will be awarded to those dancing in ski and snowboard boots. Tacoma's BLEACH clothing will dole out free shwag. And Everybody's Brewing also has its hands in this shindig.
