Friday, April 13: Tacoma City Ballet Choreographers' Talk

Merlino Arts Center

By Ron Swarner on April 10, 2012

Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes at a performance dance company?

No Stayin' Alive doesn't count.

The Tacoma City Ballet has set out to answer that question with a free talk and preview of its Spring Dance Extravaganza. An hour in length, the Choreographers' Talk - hosted by TCB Artistic Director Erin M. Ceragioliand and her choreographers - offers an unique opportunity to learn more about what goes into creating original ballets while catching a glimpse of new choreographic works. The choreographers' explanations and secrets will be translated into movement by TCB Company dancers, including excerpts from the upcoming performance.

[Jan Collum Ballroom, 7:30 p.m., free but limited to the first 50 reservations, Merlino Arts Center, 508 Sixth Ave., Tacoma, 253.272.4219]
