Crown Bar expands menu

Plus: tea time, sake tasting, Italian class and more

MENU EXPANDED

The Crown Bar on Sixth Avenue has expanded its menu to include burger sliders on pretzel buns with spicy mustard and roasted peppers, crispy calamari with chipotle aioli, JP’s guacamole and chips, four new burger combinations and more. The Crown is open 5 p.m. to midnight Tuesday-Thursday, 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday, 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday at 2705 Sixth Ave. in Tacoma.

TEA TIME

A Korean Tea Ceremony will be held Saturday, June 13 at the Fircrest Community Center, 555 Contra Costa in Fircrest. The 10 a.m. event costs $10. Reserve your space at 253.226.2742.

SAKE TASTING

Sip sake for free Saturday, June 13, 2-5 p.m. at Water to Wine, 9014 Peacock Hill Ave., in Gig Harbor.

ITALIAN CLASS

Primo Grill hosts The Cuisine of Southern Italy class Saturday, June 27 at 2 p.m. The $65 fee includes recipes, instruction, lunch with wine, tax and gratuity. Reserve your spot at 253.383.7000.
