Susie Ristuben

Gig Harbor hostess looks stylish

By Suzy Stump on January 24, 2008

Susie Ristuben needs no introduction, but a friend offers one anyway: “This is Susie. Isn’t she fabulous?”

Fabulous is right. Just don’t tell her that unless you want to make her blush. She balks at the term “socialite” and shrugs off the suggestion that she’s somebody in Tacoma/Gig Harbor society. But she is — and more.

But Susie isn’t just a beauty who lunches; she plans charity events. And when she’s not chairing a benefit, she’s supporting friends who are by donating her time and money.

I had the pleasure of attending a birthday party for her husband, Erik Ristuben, Russell Investment Group director of Client Investment Strategies and frequent analyst on CNBC and Fox Business News, held at their Gig Harbor home.  Everyone was somehow affiliated with Annie Wright except for me and the paella guy from Seattle. Outside the Ristubens’ back door he cooked a monstrous pan of the best paella I have ever tasted.

Her waterfront home is well appointed, and so is she.

She wore the Arina top in tulip by Velvet purchased at Bloom in Gig Harbor.

She kept everyone’s wine glass full of Pride effortlessly in her Banana Republic skinny jeans and 9 West high heels.

Her bright smile distracted from her Trish McEvoy makeup she purchased at Nordstrom.

Thanks for being a gracious hostess, Susie!
