Broadway holds hidden treasures for shoppers

It's not just for theaters

While Broadway, the hub of theatrical experiences in Tacoma, can be a great place to catch a show — or even buy tickets as a great gift idea — there’s more here than just theaters.  Shopping in the area is diverse and fun with long-standing and hidden treasures awaiting shoppers.

LeRoy Jewelers (940 Broadway, 253.272.3377) has been an area fixture for many years and still stands as a great place to buy a shiny bauble.  The Children’s Museum of Tacoma is a great place to pick up educational, good quality toys and games for those not quite of “shiny bauble” age. Seven Muses (1127 Broadway #101, 253.572.9998), on the other hand, has a wide range of art items to visually delight all ages.

Junior Bizarre (739 Broadway, 253.779.0129) can be a great source for affordable, distinctive styles while Glenna’s Clothing (783 Broadway, 253.627.8501) is a great place to find the perfect frock for the vintage clothing enthusiast.  Meanwhile, gifts for the lover of vintage movie posters as well as all things obscure can be found at the What?Shoppe (740 Broadway, 253.272.8697). Also stop by Mondo Bizarro in your quest for the coolest gifts for the most difficult people to shop for.

Mondo Bizarro, located on the second floor of the Sanford & Son shops, is one of the Middle Floor Merchants.  This hidden minimall is a great source for a huge array of gift items, from custom millinery and bath and body goodies available in the Gift Gallery inside Tracy Marie’s Day Spa. Organic goodies and clothing can be found at Country Girl Gardens, and a variety of one of a kind, can’t be found elsewhere goodies and art can be found in the variety of other shops tucked away in this hidden series of shops within a shop (743 Broadway, 253.272.0334).
