Rosewood Cafe has Oktoberfest brews

The Rosewood Café has stocked Oktoberfest beers including treats from Skagit River, Maritime Pacific, Hales, Leavenworth and Pyramid. Drink them at 3323 N. 26th St. in north Tacoma.

The Sixth Annual Auction and Wine Tasting will be held Saturday, Sept. 22 at the University of Puget Sound Wheelock Student Center. The silent auction starts at 5:30 p.m. The evening includes the main auction, hor d\'oeuvres and wine tasting by Pairings, Pour at Four, Café Divino, and Wild Side Wine. Tickets are $50. Urban Gourmet at 2602 Sixth Avenue is building a teaching kitchen with classes scheduled to start in October.

Tacoma Community College offers David’s Vegetarian Kitchen cooking class Oct. 2 at 2:30 p.m. The cost is $39. To register, call 253.566.5020.
