Trouve to close

And other emptiness

Trouve to close

Trouve will close officially July 12 and is doing that whole “Closing Sale” thing.

Don’t get me wrong — I love a good sale, but I hate it when the purpose of said sale is store closure. Empty storefronts make me sad, especially when the shops previously inhabiting said storefronts are as cool as Trouve.

The space won’t be empty for long, though — new tenants will take over on the 15th.

What that means, though, is you need to get your bottom to Trouve, and fast.

Other emptiness

On the topic of empty storefronts, Fire and Water Sundries has been empty since June 1 (how did I miss that?) due to health problems, and impending surgeries for shop keep Ocean. The good news is her organic-fab goods will still be available online at www.fireandwatersundries.com.

And one last sad note, the sign on the door of the oddly-empty Park Bench Books off of Pearl and North 26th Street was a sweet message about failure; he had a big dream and fought valiantly to make it work, and yet he failed.
