Hipster Boutique Tour

Adding exercise, Link rides and shopping to the docket, Love Tacoma’s latest event will tour Tacoma’s hipster boutiques today starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Tacoma Steps on the University of Washington campus.

Tacoma hipster fashionistas will visit Junior Bizarre, Rocky & Coco’s, Dame Lola, and urbanXchange at 40-minute intervals, to sample each boutique’s fashion flavors, treats and special discounts.

The event finishes up at 21 Commerce for martinis and “what’s in the bag” comparisons at 8:30 p.m. It’s open to everyone.

Hot fun for UP teen

Jessica Miles from University Place walked away from the South Hill Mall after Saturday’s Elite Model Search with a little somethin’ somethin’ for her time and energy: she’ll fly to New York for an Elite modeling agency photo shoot and represent the Northwest region in the Elite Model Look US Finals. She beat out 100 other hopefuls on the catwalk, without the wedgie discomfort of the Zoolander model walk-off finale.

Did she give them “Blue Steel?”
