HOLIDAY MARKET

Urban Grace hosts their Annual Holiday Market Friday, Nov. 21 to Sunday, Nov. 23 at St. Leo Church (1323 S. Yakima, Tacoma). This market highlights fair trade and locally sourced items featuring vendors such as Fair Trade Winds, Ten Thousand Villages, Giraffe, Theo Chocolate King's Books and others. You'll find a little something for everyone on your list from 4-7 p.m. Friday, 3-7 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

BAKE SALE

Bake sales are not a thing of the past! Saturday, Nov. 22 join Pacific Lutheran University for their annual Danish Sisterhood Bazaar for artisan vendors and baked goods. Festivities begin at 10 a.m. at 12180 Park Ave. S., in Parkland.

EMPTY BOWLS

The Emergency Food Network hosts their annual event Empty Bowls at 1 p.m. Nov. 22 at Charles Wright Academy (7723 Chambers Creek Road W., Tacoma). This event is free to attend and those who walk in the doors can choose from more than 1,200 bowls made for the occasion. Bowl prices start at $10. Those who purchase a bowl will receive soup donated by local chefs (served in a separate bowl, of course). This is a wonderful opportunity to shop for a good cause and gather with likeminded community members.

7 SEAS DINNER

Skip the Black Friday masses (or maybe treat yourself for shopping during Thanksgiving, though I do not condone this) and attend the 7 Seas Brewery Dinner at Brix 25 Nov. 28. This four-course meal will pair the culinary prowess of The Gig Harbor fine-dining restaurant with some damn tasty brews from 7 Seas for $50. This 6 p.m. dinner will sell out and reservation is required. Call 253.858.6626 to make your reservation.
