FLAVOR

Flavor, a night of dining at immigrant-owned and immigrant-supporting restaurants has reached its second birthday Thursday, Oct. 23 with participating restaurants kicking back 25 percent of food sales to Tacoma Community House. Participating restaurants include Adriatic Grill, Aviateur French Diner, Doyle's Public House, El Pulgarcito, Gateway to India, Il Lucano Ristorante, Indochine, Karma Fine Indian Cuisine, Pho King, Southern Kitchen and others. HOLIDAY FOOD AND GIFT SHOW

Put down that scary Halloween mask; it's time for the annual Holiday Food and Gift Festival at the Tacoma Dome, Oct. 22-26.  Foodstuffs are the best stuff for stocking stuffers and there will be ample artisan and craft culinary themed vendors. Plus you can enjoy cooking demos hosted by local media personalities Mark Christopher and Amanda Westbrooke who are joined by local chefs showing off their favorite holiday recipes and techniques including appearances by culinary masters from Dirty Oscar's Annex, Stanley and Seafort's, Adriatic Grill, Maxwell's and others. TACOMA BREWING PARTY

Tacoma Brewing Co. (625 Saint Helens, Tacoma) will celebrate its two-year anniversary from 2-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1. Sip on a full menu of limited brews including its bourbon barrel aged imperial stout in fun flavors such as licorice, vanilla and coffee; hoppy IPAs; and Dr. Alexander's (delicious) Hard Ginger Ale. Score swag and nibble from Finnwick's Kitchen food truck. The Tacoma brewery is family friendly.

HARMON BREWERY TOUR

Tickets are on sale for the Adaptive Reuse Open House and Harmon Brewery Tour Nov. 14. Nibble on appetizers and journey through what's sure to be an enlightening and interesting talk about Tacoma's pioneering adaptive reuse project while touring Harmon's historic building in downtown Tacoma.
