SEASON BREWS

Some breweries celebrate the summer season with light citrus blondish hops. Tacoma Brewing Company (625 Saint Helens Ave., Tacoma) takes seasonal brew to a whole new level. From 5-9 p.m. Thursday, July 18 and 3-9 p.m. Friday, July 19, brewmaster Morgan Alexander will feature limited beers infused with locally sourced produce such as rhubarb, raspberries and strawberries. Nom, get your seasonal sips on.

LOCAL FARMS BOUNTY

Primo Grill (601 S. Pine St., Tacoma) will be hosting another cooking course opportunity with Chef Charlie McManus 2-4 p.m. Saturday, July 20. This course's theme is "The Bounty of Local Farms." The $65 fee includes recipes and instruction with a bite and glass of vino. It's quite the package for those looking for a splendid lunch while attaining foodie knowledge.

SUMMER WINE

That bright orb in the sky is a perfect excuse to sip on rosés. The Black Door Wine Company (3906 N. 34th St., Tacoma) knows this, which is why 4-6 p.m. Saturday, July 20 they will be hosting a rosé tasting. Owners David Lower and Victoria Johnson are wine connoisseurs teeming with wine knowledge and pairing suggestions. Festivities cost $5.

SMOKE YOUR MEAT

Doyle's Public House (208 Saint Helens Ave., Tacoma) is hosting a smoke off 4-7 p.m. Saturday, July 20. All are welcome to enter and diners are there to judge. Categories include "best ribs" and more and a cool $20 grabs you nibbles from each of the competitors smoked meaty goodness with 100 percent of the proceeds benefitting FISH Food Banks of Pieces County. Sounds like a grubbin' feel good time.
