LAKEWOOD DISH MOB

Lakewood Chamber of Commerce supports Lakewood restaurants. It's actually their job - a satisfying job, too. Thursday, July 25, the Lakewood Chamber ask the entire South Sound to join them to discuss Lakewood business while supporting Ah Badabing Pizzeria (6101 100th St. SW), a Lakewood restaurant (natch!), for its Lakewood Dish Mob outing. From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., chow down on pizza and discuss potholes, awnings or whatever your heart desires. And for you Sopranos fans - no, this isn't a strip joint.

MOVEABLE FEAST

Moveable Feast is back and better than ever for year two of truck foodie galore at Cheney Stadium (2502 S. Tyler St., Tacoma) Sunday, July 28. This event is both kid and pet friendly as well as free to attend - save for the dollars you spend on grub. Enjoy the likes of Hilltop Pop Shop, Pampeana Empanadas, Caravan Crepes and many more delights - all in one fell swoop. You have from noon to 5 p.m. to fill yer belly.

COOKIES FOR GROWN-UPS

One may not expect a bookstore to be among the list of foodie related events but King's Books (218 Saint Helens Ave., Tacoma) is indeed among your culinary to-dos. At 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, King's owner sweet pea welcomes Kelly Cooper, author of Cookies for Grown-Ups, to talk sweet and savory cookie recipes plus drink/cookie pairings. Did we tell you we thought of this first?

HOT JAZZY NIGHTZ

If you're anything like us, when a "z" replaces an "s," we take note (and for some reason smash stuff). If you enjoy Northwest wines (and hops), exquisite cuisine and smooth jazz then this is the event for youz. Rock Creek Gardens (11421 164th St. E., Puyallup) hosts Hot Jazzy Nightz 6-9 p.m. Thursday Aug. 8. Festivities include highlighted Northwest wineries and gourmet cuisine and music all beneath the stars. The $40 admission fee scores you as much wine as you can taste, music and your meal. Varietals will be available to purchase as well at a 10 percent discount. Space is limited so reservations are required. For ticket detailz, call 253.200.7671.
