DRINK THE PINK

Morso Wine Bar (9014 Peacock Hill Ave., Gig Harbor) is celebrating summer with rosés. Morso invites lovers of the vine to Drink the Pink with its rosé wine tasting from 5-7 p.m. Friday, June 21. Expect to sip rosés from Oregon, the south of France, Tavel and Corsica. Morso is also bringing back its fresh and flavorful Nicoise salad a fabulous partner for your rosé sipping.

GIRLS, GUITARS AND BREWS

Enjoys brews of both the roasted bean and hops variety with Girls with Guitars at Northern Pacific Coffee Company (401 Garfield St. S., Tacoma) at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 22. Lovely musicians Heidi Vladyka, Gina Belliveau and Heidi Stoermer will croon the night away to accompany your fresh pastries, craft brews and espresso drinks. This all-ages event is only $4 whopping big ones (suggested donation).

BREW FIVE THREE

The downtown Tacoma Brew Five Three festival will feature more than 35 Washington breweries and cider producers, live music from several Northwest blues bands and a variety of local food trucks Saturday, June 22 on Broadway between Ninth and 11th streets. This two session event from 1-5 p.m. and again from 6-9 p.m. includes eight tasting tokens for your beer-sipping pleasure as well as a 2.5 ounce collectible tasting glass and live music performances. The block party style festivities cost $30 if you choose to tie one on, though they do offer a booze-free friendly version for you participating DDs who love music, for only $5. OFFICIAL CREPES

Though Savor Tacoma Creperie (1916 Pacific Ave., Tacoma) has opened its doors and received rave reviews, you can anticipate its grand opening celebration Friday, June 21. With the ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at noon diners can take advantage of half-priced dessert crepes 3-7 p.m. and sample some other offered flavors throughout the day's festivities. Extending the celebratory mood into Saturday with a 15 percent discount all day and raffle drawings for gift certificates that will keep you coming back for more if the sweet and savory crepes didn't already do it.

WHISKEY AND BOGEYS

North Shore Golf Course (4101 North Shore Blvd., Tacoma) is hosting a Whiskey and Scotch Tasting 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 28 from. This isn't simply a tasting but a party with live music to entertain and a full buffet for diners to pair with their samples of whiskeys and scotch for only $20.
