GOLF AND BEER

Not much beats sports and a man cave, save for maybe golf and beer. And on Friday, May 31 North Shore Golf Course (4101 North Shore Blvd. NE, Tacoma) will present the latter two together in harmonious patrimony. Deschutes Brewery will be visiting the course and conducting a beer tasting event. Festivities are set to occur from 6-8 pm and include live music.

MUSIC AND WINE

Olympia's Medicine Creek Winery (947 Old Pacific Hwy. SE, Olympia) invites musicians each Friday evening throughout the summer into its tasting room to entertain vino lovers. This Friday, May 24, Steilacoom-based folk singer-songwriter Jeanlizabeth will match your sips with strums from 5-8 pm. Tickets are available for $7; must be 21 or older.

SALAD AND BURGERS

You open the fridge. You stare. And stare. Sometimes you need a nudge. Toscano's Cafe and Wine Bar (437 19th St. NE, Puyallup) has theme days. Mondays are "Salad Mondays" adding a selection of foliage-based meals featuring citrus and steak, flavorful bleu cheese and bacon, light prawn and caprese, and mango and chicken salad. To balance things out, "Burger Wednesday" offers a few burger specials every lunch hour.
