A spot of tea in Puyallup

Nibbling in T-4-2 and British Aisle

While strolling through the downtown Puyallup shopping district, I stumbled upon a fantastic little English tea room neighboring a store which specializes in retail food products imported from England.  My nine-year-old daughter went crazy with curiosity, so inside T-4-2 and British Aisle we went for a quick tea-time.

After choosing the Strawberries ‘n' Cream herbal tea from T-4-2's 86 tea choices, we settled in with fresh, fluffy cinnamon orange scones accompanied by a side of Devonshire Cream.  The scones were fluffy, fresh, handmade, and not anything near what one would find in an American coffee shop.

Longtime gal-pal Jenny Fab always appreciates a good cup of tea, so picking up an ounce of her favorite peppermint tea leaves was a no-brainer last week at T-4-2.

Although, as it sits on my counter waiting for hand delivery, I can't help but think that at a quick glance, this bag appears as though it is filled with an ounce of another type of herbal dried green leaf.  Ahem, at least from what people have told me it would look like.

Open for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea, T-4-2 also specializes in tea parties and luncheons. A full menu of traditional British bites will have you feeling as though you were having tea with Kate Middleton's distant cousin's babysitter's refrigerator repair man.  Because you know as well as I do, royalty would never accept your unkept American appearance.
