Last year's Mark Lindquist-powered "Autographed Book & Wine Auction" at King's Books went over so well that the taller-than-average Pierce County Prosecutor just had to do it again from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 at King's Books (218 St Helens Ave., Tacoma).

SPARKLING WINE TASTING

Need to research the best sparkling wines out this season? Morso Wine Bar (9014 Peacock Hill Ave., Gig Harbor) hosts a sparkling wine tasting from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4. Apparently, the wines being poured are Morso's "go to favorites" for holiday meals. 

COCKTAIL PARTY

Every first Fridayof the month, Brix 25 (7707 Pioneer Way, Gig Harbor) will delve into the wonderful world of mixology with a late afternoon cocktail party from 4:30-7 p.m. for $25, which includes appetizers.

The Tacoma Buddhist Temple (1717 S. Fawcett Ave., Tacoma) hosts a free Fall Food & Crafts Bazaar from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6. Food wise, expect chicken teriyaki, sushi, rice curry, chow mein, udon noodles and beef kabobs.
