NEW BREAKFAST DISHES: Babblin' Babs Bistro (2724 N. Proctor St., Tacoma) has added the following dishes to its breakfast menu: Crazy 1949 Vegetable Get-Away, Happy Cod & Waffle, Naan a Zulu, True Grits with Shrimp, Passionally Your's Forever, and Tropical Thai Phoon Torta. The Proctor District bistro serves breakfast 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday.

THRILLIN' GRILLIN': From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Thursday, Bayview Thriftway (516 W. Fourth, Olympia) serves barbecue dishes in its front parking lot. Ten percent of all profits goes to the Thurston County Food Bank.

OYSTER FESTIVAL: Anthony's Restaurants hosts its annual Oyster Festival throughout March. Discover your favorite: Olympia, Kumomoto, Bakers and Pacific varieties (including Penn Cove and Barron Points) on the half shell, and more in appetizers and entrees at lunch and dinner. Oyster lovers can enjoy a bottle of one of the featured "Oyster Wines" at half price when ordered with oysters. Join the fun each Friday evening at 6 p.m. for their Oyster Slurp contest. Enjoy Oyster Festival throughout all Anthony's Restaurants except Harbor Lights (doh!) and the Olympia Hearthfire (doh!).

HAPPY HOUR: The Pacific Grill (1502 Pacific Ave., Tacoma) knocks 50 percent off its desserts during happy hour 2-6 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 5-6 p.m. Saturday.

RIB ROAST: Destination Harley-Davidson (2302 Pacific Hwy. E., Tacoma) hosts a rib roast at noon Saturday, March 12.

GO SOUTH AMERICAN: Affairs Bakery & Café (2811 Bridgeport Way, University Place) hosts a South American Dinner with wines at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 18. The five-course dinner costs $75. Reserve your spot at 253.565.8604.

BREWMASTER'S DINNER: Salty's at Redondo Beach has teamed up with Mac & Jack's Brewery to host a five-course Brewmaster's Dinner at 6 p.m. Friday, March 25. The menu will include Maine lobster tail, Hawaiian tombo, char siu pork loin, jumbo sea scallops and strawberry-rhubarb tart. The cost is $64.99 per person. Get in on it at 253.945.8248.

CAPITAL FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL: This annual rite of spring will offer samplings from 44 wineries and 15 microbreweries from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 26 at Saint Martin's University (5300 Pacific Ave. SE, Lacey).
