Psssssst, hey you. Yea, you ... don't forget, Valentine's Day is coming up hot. Whether you are on team "We don't celebrate Hallmark Holidays," or "I better get something or else," or maybe, secretly "I don't want anything, but a nice date WOULD be nice," we've got you covered with a list of the less traditional, but possibly very romantic depending on your approach ...

The Red Hot (aka TRH) in Tacoma has a couple of brew-based festivities that are perfect for any lover of the hops. Leading up to Valentine's, you can Get Baked With The Bruery Feb. 12 at 5 p.m. This equates to tapping delectable selections from the Bruery's Bakery Edition Imperial Stouts paired with baked goods counterparts. Uh, heavenly. Try the Coconut Macaroon Stout with coconut macaroon cookies, Banana Bread Stout with banana bread muffins and Bruery Cherry Pie Stout with a cherry hand pie. On Valentine's Day, TRH hosts Valentine's Blend-O-Nator at TRH. What exactly does that mean? They mix a couple of beers to make something new! For this holiday, it's Lineman's Strawberry Lambic and Knee Deep's Stoutello Chocolate Hazelnut Milk Stout topped with chocolate shavings. If that doesn't sound like a sweet boozy treat, I don't know what does. 2914 Sixth Ave., Tacoma

Also on "the Ave," Locust Cider and Brewing is hosting a Valentine's Sweet Treats and Flight combo Feb. 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. They're pairing pink ciders or beer with sweets provided by Johnson Candy Company! 2806 Sixth Ave., Tacoma

Pairing dinners are excellent for special occasions because they provide a curated dining experience from start to finish and give you an opportunity to try new things you might not have otherwise. Plus, it's always enlightening to explore flavor profiles and discover unlikely matrimonies. Thursday, Feb. 13, The Ram on Ruston is hosting a Brewer's Dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person, or $60 per couple and include a four-course meal. Each course is paired with one of the Ram's flagship brews with Head Chef Brandon Escovedo and DJ Stark and Brewer Kevin Pierce guiding the way. Tickets are available on Eventbrite. 3901 Ruston Way, Tacoma

Vino Aquino Winery hosts so many types of events, it'll make your head spin. It's an excellent venue for just about anything you have up your sleeve. On Feb. 11, they host Valentine's Shopping and Wine from 5 to 8 p.m. For a $15 admission fee you'll indulge in sweet treats and wine samples. Plus, the first 20 people to reserve a spot receive swag bags. You can then peruse local vendors that include Mary Kay, Paparazzi Girl, Kitchen Sink Crafts, Payton Piper Boutique, Pampered Chef and Messy Mama's Boutique. There will be chair massages, music and a fun photobooth, plus glasses of wine that can be purchased at $5 apiece. This is an excellent way to get your hand on a bottle or two for a private dinner at home on the big V day. Find your tickets on Eventbrite. 4417 Sixth Ave., Tacoma
