Take a fun night trip to the Historic District and Capitol Lake (Best Selfie Location) for stunning views, delicious eats and unique bars. Dive into the local culture for a night you will never forget. This walkable city is so unique and right next to the water with many options for a variety of dining and bars. Walking from bar to bar is easily achievable. Here is your night life itinerary for that perfect night on the town:

SUNSET AT CAPITOL LAKE

Start your night off with a stunning sunset over Capitol Lake with the Capitol building in view. For the best view, park at Heritage Park and walk the short distance to the lake. The path is all paved so no worrying about getting muddy. For a person who is single, this would be a breathtaking spot to bring a date. Watch in awe as the sun sets and the sky turns to magical colors. The lake reflects the sunset and clouds making it an even more magical experience. 

GET YOUR FOOD ON

After working up an appetite from watching a stunning sunset in Olympia, it is time for some yummy eats! Head to the Historic District and find parking anywhere since it is all easily walkable. 

Option 1: King Solomon's Reef, located on Fourth Ave., is a classic diner feel with AMAZING eats for a big appetite. Open from 8 a.m. to 3 a.m. every day, making it the perfect go-to spot for late-night eats. What's on the menu: Chicken and Waffles, breakfast platters (served all day), Fried Chicken (bucket option as well), Fish and Chips, Chicken Fried Steak, and more! The very large Breakfast Burrito is a must-eat. This spot also has a bar in their historic lounge area.

Option 2: Wicked Pies Pizzeria, located on Franklin St. SE, is a warm feel restaurant with a variety of delicious pizza which you can order by the pie or slice. Menu options: The Audrey Horne, fixed with Roma tomatoes, spinach, artichoke hearts, mozzarella, and a spicy olive oil base; The White Lodge, with rosemary potatoes, caramelized onions, mushrooms, Gorgonzola and shredded mozzarella, and a olive oil base; and The Ghostwood, featuring artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, goat cheese and shredded mozzarella, and a basil pesto base.
