The scorching hot temps and smoky skies might have you feeling otherwise, but summer days are waning. With that, festival season will come to a close, patios will put up their chairs and foodie festivities will revolve around pumpkin spice and family gatherings. This weekend, though, there are still a few tasty to-dos, some even specific to the season. Check it out!

The Mule Tavern is best known for crafting some delectable craft cocktails, but on Saturday, Aug. 25, they're hosting a classic Crawfish Boil. From 5-10 p.m., you can dig into a spicy New Orleans-style seafood boil that will include sausage, corn, mushrooms, potatoes, onions, garlic, pineapple and Brussels sprouts, There's a few ways to get grubbin': it's $12 per portion which is approximately a two-pound feast, for $30 you get three portions and $40 will score you an all-you-can-eat extravaganza. Must be 21 and over to partake. 5227 South Tacoma Way, Tacoma

Having grown up in the Fife area about 20 plus years ago, I can say, it's not often there is something foodie related to look forward to, but Uptown Koffee and Kafe changes that. They host a weekly SINnamon Roll Saturday. That means fresh, homemade cinnamon rolls every Saturday. Let's be real, I can't imagine any other way to kick off the weekend. 2700 Milton Way, Milton

If you're like any other good Pacific Northwesterner, you love beards, flannels and a nice hoppy IPA, and the Parkway Tavern has got you covered. Saturday, Aug. 25, hit up the Parkway Tavern IPA Fest. All IPAs, all day, noon to midnight. 313 North I St., Tacoma

The Tacoma Matador bids the summer season adieu Saturday, Aug. 25, with their annual Adios to Summer Party. From 6 p.m. until midnight, indulge in live music provided by DJ Midnight Mike in their expanded outdoor bar with Margaritas and draft or bottled beers. But I mean, citrusy Margaritas and Texas-sized nachos are the only way to do this proper like. It'll be guilt-free because you'll burn calories boogying the night away. 721 Pacific Ave., Tacoma

The truest testament to the end of summer days is the impending Washington State Fair. Harmon Brewery and Puyallup River Brewing have collaborated on the ultimate brew-themed farewell with their Fair Beers. They are throwing a shindig for the release of the brews Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 6-9 p.m. The Harmon is presenting a Strawberry Rhubarb Pie Wheat Beer, while Puyallup Rivers embodies everyone's favorite fair treat with the Raspberry Scone Golden Ale. This will be an exclusive sneak peak because these brews will be served during fair season only. Get some while you can! The Hub South Hill, 214 39th Ave. SW, Puyallup

Locust Cider is celebrating their official grand opening Saturday, Aug. 25, as well. There will be cider tastings, swag and more from noon to 5 p.m. Plus, a portion of all proceeds will go directly to support the Locust Cider cause, hydrocephalus. 2806 6th Ave., Tacoma
