Some days it is just plain convenient to grab some fast food when you don't feel like cooking or just don't have the time. But fast food doesn't always have to mean greasy, calorie-packed foods that leave you feeling bloated. There are several local establishments that offer a variety of healthy selections that your taste buds will fall in love with and will leave you feeling spoiled.

Quickie Too

Owned by Plum Restaurants, this restaurant features tantalizing vegan dishes that are helping change people's perception of what it is to be vegan. The menu consists of fan favorites such as The Crazy Jamaican Burger, made with spiced tofu, caramelized sweet plantains, grilled sweet onions, tomatoes, and potato salad topped off with a vegan mayo. Patrons can also enjoy wraps, burritos, sandwiches and full-on dinner plates. The menu is centered around the basis of nutrition and proteins. Quickie Too creates its delicious masterpieces by incorporating the use of tofu, tempeh and seitan as well as quinoa and millet. If you can't quite decide what to start with, try the Mac & Yease, Quickie Too's signature twist on everyone's favorite comfort food.

Miso Asian Bistro

Since 2015, Ryan and Leena Rommann have been serving up delightful and health-conscious foods with a unique Korean-inspired twist. They created the menu after becoming aware of the amount of fast food they were consuming while they worked their corporate jobs. Everything they serve is made with the freshest ingredients. When you come to Miso Asian Bistro, you choose from a bowl with white or brown rice, a wrap or a salad. You then top or fill your selection with one of the selection of proteins, including Bulgogi steak, roasted chicken, tofu, veggies or shrimp. Top off your selection with an array of toppings like edamame, jalapenos or olives, just to name a few. Finish your meal by adding a delicious sauce such as wasabi mayo or a sweet chili sauce. Patrons will easily be able to taste the difference that fresh ingredients make in their meals.
