Because: I am thoroughly confused

Oh, you are too?: Good.

Before good friend Gayle Selden's Packwood family cabin was tragically swept away in the Cowlitz River flood of 2007, she would host friends and family for relaxing weekends on a regular basis. A weekend with Gayle Selden always included her famous family pancake recipe.

It's been a while since I've had a Gayle Selden pancake, but from what I hear, the recipe Old Milwaukee Cafe uses is very similar. The true test will be at Thursday's (June 9) monthly Nosh League event. Gayle and I will sit side by side and witness Old Milwaukee co-owner Chad Kerth mix up a batch of pancake goodness as we have breakfast for dinner and watch over a griddle.

Say what? You've never heard of the Weekly Volcano Nosh League? Are you kidding me? What kind of friggen' rock do you live under, and do you see a place for that overrated Mumford & Sons band to go into hiding next year? Just ask Bell Biv DeVoe to move over, they won't mind.

Recently, I kidnapped Bandito Betty and took her out for some Old Milwaukee breakfast, since she will be unable to attend this month's event.

We chatted up subjects such as: Reality TV, weirdoes on the bus, the gestation period of puppies, how often a dog goes into heat, horrible pet owners, people who don't like kids, drinking games and annoying catch phrases that end in "dot com." For example: "Hey! OMG. Did you know that you are fucking annoying dot com?" Or: "OMG. You really need to get the hell outta here dot com."

It was the usual Bandito Betty conversation.

What I took away from our time together was not just a headache from the exceptional lack of focus when it came to sticking to one topic of conversation. Even better, for the rest of the day all I could think was ...  OH. EM. GEE. Old Milwaukee Cafe, like, has the BEST cinnamon roll French toast sprinkled with bacon I've EVER had dot com.

Like, totally.
