My sister is mentally disabled and he got along great with her.

Other key points

He is housebroken and will paw at the door, or bark once to go out.

-To his credit he made the entire flight from Honolulu, HI to Newark, NJ without defecating or urinating in his kennel.

He knows how to use a doggy door.

He is very well behaved and can perform the following commands:

-Sit

-Lay down

-Shake hands

-Speak

-Stay

He is great with children, and has been exposed and played with children ages 6mos and older.

-Including a two week stay with a friend who had two girls ages 4 and 7.

He doesn't chew anything that has not been given to him directly

He is very well socialized and gets along with dogs of all sizes, including our second dog, a 1yr old Bichon

He does very well in dog parks

He will play fetch with a toy, frisbee, ball, or stick, and catch items throw in the air

He loves water, and will swim in lakes, streams, rivers, and the ocean

He loves to exercise and is a great motivator for anyone looking for a workout partner

He is up to date with all of his shots, recently staying at Ft. Meade's kennel from 16APR11 to 19APR11

Shakespeare is a true Golden and a tribute to his breed, he is caring, loving, patient, playful, obedient, lazy, gentle, and hungry.  He has traveled around the world, across America (three times in the last year!) and has been a companion to my wife during two separate deployments.

We will provide 100% of food & toy costs and vet costs if needed.

*OUR WISH LIST*

A person or family that loves dogs

Although he endured the constant heat in Guam for a year, we would prefer his outdoor activity is conducted before or near sunrise or after sunset.

Someone who is willing to enjoy him and have fun with him

Someone who is willing to update us on his condition a couple times a week, email, phone call, pictures etc;

LOKI AND GUNNER

Hi I’m Loki and this is my brother Gunner. We are looking for a caring foster family to let us be a part of their family until we can be reunited with ours in Hawaii. Our family got orders to Hawaii that has them moving in under 2 months. We would love to stay with a foster family here because if we go now we would have to be quarantined in a kennel for 120 days. That is an extremely long time, especially for a dog.

WE are both 7 years old. He is a Lab mix and I am a Swiss Mountain Dog Husky mix. We love people especially kids. We would do best in a house without other dogs and definitely NO CATS. We are crate trained and can bring our crates to your house. Our family will be leaving at the end of June and we will be able to head over to Hawaii at the end of October. Our family would take care of our food expenses, a little compensation for your kindness and they are working with someone who will handle all of our transportation requirements when it is time for us to leave.

If you would like to talk to our parents about letting us be a temporary part of your family please give them a call at (253)459-4588.

Thank you,

           Loki & Gunner Mack
