Sure, you could eat lunch at your desk or go to that café down the street with the same old sandwiches every day or you can join the LeMay - America's Car Museum (ACM) and its If Cars Could Talk lunch series, held the first Tuesday of every month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

On March 1, Downton Abbey and vintage car fans alike are in for a treat as ACM Collections Manager Renee Crist delves into "The Cars of Downton Abbey." The event is held in conjunction with KBTC Public Television, whose members are invited as well, and is similar to another lunch talk about Downton held last year at the start of season five. Now that Downton is wrapping up season six, the talk will include an additional nearly two years of cars.

"Basically, I'm starting at the beginning of the Downton period, which is about the time the Titanic sank in 1912, and going through the end of the show in 1925," said Crist. "It's a really great period of time to talk about the cars. The cars are almost like another character. Not only do they add to the atmosphere and the story of the people who rode in them and drove in them, but they also help move the story along."

If you're a fan of the show, a look at the cars will likely add an extra dimension you never knew was there. Crist will not only delve into the individual cars in the show, but also will explain how the cars mirror the class structure of the people. While the class structure ranges from the aristocracy down to the working class, the cars range from fancy Rolls Royces to Model Ts.

Crist will touch on 15 to 20 cars during the talk, and while many of the actual cars are not in the museum (this is America's Car Museum, after all, not Britain's car museum), there will be at least one solid example of a British car on hand - a 1913 Daimler that's nearly identical to a car shown in the first season.
