Narine Towle was born in the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Soviet Union.
She immigrated to the United States in 1991, became a US Citizen and had a daughter.
One of the things Narine is most proud of is being a native Russian language speaker.
Narine joined the Washington Army National Guard in July of 2011.
Specialist Narine has utilized her linguist skills to train Senior-level Officers that serve liaison missions in Russian speaking areas overseas.
In 2012, Narine became a Human Intelligence Collector and has served the past year with the 341st Military Intelligence Battalion.
The trained skill set required for this military specialty includes interviewing, interrogation, elicitation, report writing research and analysis, which all align well with Narine's current profession working as a Community Corrections Officer for the Department of Corrections.
Narine supervises and facilitates individuals who have been released from prisons, but have long criminal conviction histories.
Narine makes referrals while monitoring offender participation in treatment services.
Narine also instructs military personnel at the local, national and international level on the effects of gang and organized crime activities on communities.
In her spare time, Narine volunteers in the Safe Streets community outreach program.
During the Safe Streets event, community members have the opportunity to interact with various branches of law enforcement in a non-threatening environment.
This event provides citizens a chance to ask questions about law enforcement-related issues that are of concern or interest to them, in a friendly and non-threatening environment.
In addition, Narine volunteers 6-12 hours per month in a partnership with local law enforcement officers in Pierce and King counties.
She works with various law enforcement agencies to respond to dispatch calls, target identified individuals on warrant status and conduct identification checks in bars.
Narine also enjoys volunteering at Turning Point Community Church in Kent, WA.
Narine earned her AA degree in Psychology from Pierce Community College, a BA degree in Criminal Justice from Central Washington University, and currently attending Graduate School at Pacific Lutheran University.
