MADIGAN ARMY MEDICAL CENTER, Joint Base Lewis-McChord - At this time, Madigan now has vaccine on-hand and is currently vaccinating all patients 55 years of age and older. Patients 16 years of age or older with underlying medical conditions considered high-risk based on CDC guidance are also now eligible to get the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 mRNA vaccine at the American Lake Conference Center on Lewis North. To get the vaccine, eligible patients must make an appointment by calling the Puget Sound Military Appointment Center at 1-800-404-4506 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, or by booking an appointment using Madigan's online COVID-19 Vaccine Scheduler by visiting

Many of Madigan's patients in the JBLM community are awaiting appointments to get the COVID-19 vaccine. In the face of this global pandemic, we have been encouraged by the extraordinary participation of our patients in the COVID-19 vaccine distribution.

If desired, patients can also pursue COVID-19 vaccination off-base by visiting the WA State Dept. of Health website for vaccine locations and Phase information.

We are eager to vaccinate as much of our population as possible, however, given the limited manufacturer supply, the COVID-19 vaccine is currently not available to Madigan's entire general patient population at this time. We would like to reassure the JBLM community that as we receive more doses of the vaccine and progress through the risk phases and prioritized groups outlined by the Department of Defense, vaccination will ultimately be offered to all Madigan beneficiaries, including military family members and retirees.

Patients can also call Madigan's dedicated COVID-19 Vaccine Hotline at (253) 968-4744 at any time for the latest updates on COVID-19 vaccine availability. It is preferred that you avoid calling directly to clinics to inquire about our vaccine supply. It is critical during this pandemic that our phone lines remain open to our entire patient population needing various health care services.

Care with Compassion.
