A fun day for military families

The Ranger and Airlifter newspapers in partnership with event sponsors USAA and US Family Health are hosting Military Game Show Day, Saturday, April 27, at the Capital Christian Center in Olympia. The huge day of fun for the entire family includes the opportunity to compete in eight game shows and win door prizes. There are thousands of dollars' worth of prizes ranging from trips, free tickets to local activities, Summit Club seats at Cheney Stadium, Rainiers baseball tickets, restaurant certificates and much more.

"This is a fun day. We have eight popular games going at all times with tons of prizes. Families can bounce around from game to game; all ages are invited to play. There are literally hundreds of winners," said Ken Swarner, Publisher, Northwest Military. Participants can play, Let's Make a Deal, Family Feud, Price is Right, Deal or No Deal, BINGO, and Minute to Win It. There are also Prize Wheels and door prizes. The event is open to military families, retirees, and veterans, both active and reserve. You must RSVP to win door prizes.

"The Lewis Community Spouses' Club (LCSC) is looking forward to managing the Deal or No Deal table at Military Family Game day in Olympia," said Jamie Lynn Blum, President, LCSC. "We are excited to take part in this family fun event. LCSC enjoys getting out and volunteering in our community. The Military Game Show is just one of the many events put on throughout the year by Northwest Military and local sponsors for military families. Past events have included Date Nights, Spouse Pampering events, Pet and Kid events and many more. They also support military families by hosting job fairs throughout the year.

Plan to arrive early to have the most opportunities to play the games. There is free parking available at the Capital Christian Center. The event is free and food is available for purchase at various food vendors.
