The Steilacoom Historical School District invites the community to attend "Family. Strong. 2018.," Wednesday, April 18, from 5-7:30 p.m. at Pioneer Middle School in DuPont.

The theme of the evening is Community Connected -- Building Wellness Together.

"This is in recognition of April as the Month of the Military Child," wrote Susanne Beauchaine, the executive director for student services, in an email. "This event is a chance for our families to come together in wellness activities."

Project Safe & Sound, Steilacoom Kiwanis and Sodexo Food Service are sponsoring the evening's activities.

There will be opportunities to tackle an obstacle course, solve wellness puzzles, learn about exercise and nutrition, and meet the district's military family life counselors.

"Family Strong lets us connect with our military families, because in our district we are all military-connected," concluded Beauchanine.

Pioneer Middle School is located at 1750 Bob's Hollow Lane.
