The rain and snow were no impediment to golfers on a mission.

Approximately 175 golfers showed up at Eagles Pride Golf Course to participate in the 17th Annual Turkey Shoot and Holiday Support Golf Tournament Nov. 3.

America's Credit Union sponsored the event, which assists Joint Base Lewis-McChord servicemembers during the holiday season.

"What's a little cold and discomfort to help those who serve us," said Ken Leonard, ACU's president and CEO.

"Besides, we've got snow and this will be fun."

And for all that fun, this year's event raised over $70,000.
