What a killer week. Awesome music, beautiful clothes, fabulous drinks and pretty people everywhere.

Oh my gosh, the first LADIES ONLY SOIREE at Jazzbones in the balcony was so cool. My makeup was done by TANYA SAMUELSON, co-owner/cosmetic artist of the FITTING ROOM. Tanya used their new Jane Iradele makeup line (totally mineral, no toxic additives). I looked radiant. Tanya's good friend ROSE wore these amazing pointed shoes. I don't know whose were better, Rose's witch points or MAINE E'S. Both were smashing. KALA FROM HEEL! SHOES was such a doll and had the best boots for sale (red leather, if you please). EMBELLISH SALON'S table promoted their new waxing services and skin treatments.  JUSTIN PETERSON, Fender's bar manager, and Jazzbone's owner JASON dished out the drinks. You can't blame guys for wanting to work a 60-plus all female party, can you? LINDY OF TREMMERS kept asking for her COSMOS with just a whisper of cran. Hoorah!  Me too!  The buffet's highlight: smoked salmon cream dip by CHEF JOE BERNARD. I actually saw one girl wiping the bowl clean with her finger. Hey, Joe!  Throw it on the menu, dude! Singer MICHAEL O'NEILL FILMED HIS VIDEO for the pre-release of his newest CD, From The Beginning, the same night. Festive energy abounded.

During Third Thursday Art Walk RAMPART GALLERY held its QUARTERLY FASHION SHOW themed with costumes of wizards (I know that was you ROB!), princesses and other renaissance folk.  DJ TONY rocked the house with his retro hits. I will admit to being a bit stingy; I kept my wine in a bag and only gave some to my friends.  JOHNNY CHIMPO ALLSTARS were at Panamonica's for their CD release party at the AFTER ARTWALK PARTY.  You know, that band just isn't as good without DRUM GOD DARIN.

JAIME WYATT and MONO IN VCF played an all-ages show at Panamonica's. Jaime was backed by Post Stardom Depression, which should have been killer, but something was really wrong with the sound. It spoiled it. Jaime's voice still came out clear. Mono in VCF had better luck though, sounding quite fine. Halfway through Mono's second song, Panamonica's first ever fight broke out.  DRUNKEN A-HOLE GUY argued with BIKER MAN, pissed off bartender Maine E and got kicked out. As he turned to leave, he openhandedly BITCH SLAPPED Biker Man's face. All hell broke loose.  Co-owner Rob and others jumped in to "help."  I had two hands on Drunken A-hole's belt and was PULLING WITH ALL MY MIGHT. He didn't budge. I was astounded to see them wrestling and breaking everything in their path. Even more amazing were the bystanders who immediately picked the place up and put things back to rights. Panamonica's is such a comfortable place with great creative energy. I was totally impressed at how people pitched in to take care of "their place."  No real damage was done. Drunken A-hole took a cab home. Through it all the band, Mono in VCF, played on.  So rock star.

VICCI MARTINEZ SOLD OUT THE TRIPLE DOOR with accompanying acts TWO LOONS FOR TEA and Jaime Wyatt.  The show gave me goose bumps. After the previous night's unhappy performance, it was perfect to hear Jaime on a full stage with the right sound system. I honestly don't think I have ever heard Vicci sound better either. The Triple Door's stage backdrop is a $5,000 fiber optics curtain that changed with the music. Dope. They serve the most perfect VANILLA COSMO on the planet.  Tacoma people represent: JOHANNA (Rampart), ANGELA AND ADAM (congrats on your engagement), and SUMI ARTIST ANDREA ERICKSON and HUBBY GUS (Vicci performed for her artist reception recently) were having a blast. They were smart and had a hotel room waiting for them.
