"We have these flat, silicone material round things printed with our logo that we give away at events," explained Odis Crosby, Media Marketing Specialist for America's Credit Union. "I heard people saying it was a great jar-opener - which isn't what I thought it was - and I began to wonder."

"So I took it home one day to see how many ways I could use it...it was a coaster, a jar opener, even a golfing putting green," Crosby said. "So I thought it could make a great contest for our members."

The contest, which began this week, will end the first week in February and the person with the most unique answer and use will claim first prize, as well as bragging rights.

Crosby intends to make sure that all 11 ACU branches have one of the ‘things' on hand so contest entrants can get a hands-on feel before submitting their ideas.

To enter, simply like the ACU Facebook page (www.facebook.com/youracu) and then post your ideas. Voting will take place on Feb. 7 and winners will be announced. First place prize is an iPad and both second and third place will receive $50 iTunes giftcards.
