Joint Base Lewis-McChord Directorate of Public Works announces a traffic diversion beginning Tuesday to facilitate players' participation in an I Corps mission readiness command post exercise.
Drivers using Centerline Drive Gate will be required to detour around that section of Railroad Avenue that extends from the Battle Command Training Center campus from Tuesday to June 22. The gates will be closed.
Access will be permitted for those participating in the mission readiness exercise "Unified Endeavor." A parking-pass system will be in effect for exercise players.
Inbound from Centerline Drive Gate:
From Railroad Avenue, follow the detour signs to Hanna Drive, right on Everett Street, turn right on Kaufman Avenue and proceed to the stop sign. Right on Mann Avenue, the primary detour that directs traffic into the center of JBLM Lewis Main.
Outbound to Centerline Gate: Detour signs will direct drivers along Mann Avenue and left onto Kaufman Avenue, left onto Everett Street, left onto Hanna Drive, right onto Railroad Avenue and out Centerline Drive.
Note: There is no left turn from Hanna Drive in the direction of the BCTC via Railroad Avenue, Also, there is no left turn from Everett Street onto Kaufman Avenue-Washington street. All traffic to the BCTC must approach from the North.
