MICHAEL SWAN: MILITARY ONLY PERFORMANCE >>>

Diamond-Rio The Fort Lewis PAO reminds us that Diamond Rio will perform tonight at Memorial Stadium Park:

Fort Lewis, Wash. - Diamond Rio, one of country music's most successful groups, takes the stage at Memorial Stadium Park Tuesday, July 28 at 7 p.m.  This free concert is brought to Fort Lewis by the posts' Morale, Welfare and Recreation agency and the Spirit of America Tour.

The Spirit of America Tour is in its eighth season. In 2009, the Spirit of America Tour continues to bring major entertainers to America's stateside military bases. The tour is one of the ways that major entertainers can help boost and maintain the morale of America's Armed Forces and their families. The Spirit of America Tour is a project of the California based Robert and Nina Rosenthal Foundation.

Diamond Rio released its platinum selling debut disc in 1991, and the following year, they won the Country Music Association's Vocal Group of the Year award for the first time. They've had nine no. 1 hits, plus fifteen singles, in the Top Five. Six-time Vocal Group of the Year, Diamond Rio was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 1998.

The band has sold more than 10 million records. More information about Diamond Rio and tonight's performance can be found on page 4 of the July issue of the Fort Lewis Focus magazine here.

This show is not open to the general public.
