At 8 a.m. Wednesday, the 199th Infantry Regiment will welcome two new battalion commanders.

Wednesday, June 10, Lt. Col. Scott W. Halstead with assume command of the 2nd Battalion, 11th Infantry Regiment from Lt. Col. Lance E. Davis at Fort Benning. Davis has been reassigned to Fort Lewis, where he will serve as the deputy commander for the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division.
